Bob Lindmeier working on a collaborative meeting with NWS Sullivan featuring a round-table discussion similar to what Mike hosted a few months ago.

On Sunday, October 21, from 9 AM to 1 PM, there will be a NWS/Broadcasters Round Table at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center

in Monona, WI. This round table is a collaborative effort to bring Wisconsin and northern Illinois meteorologists from the broadcast community, National Weather Service, and academia together with climate scientists. Speakers will include Daniel Vimont and Ankur Desai from the Nelson Institute Center for Climatic Research at the University of Wisconsin, Tim Halbach from the National Weather Service Office in Sullivan, and Bob Lindmeier, Chief Meteorologist for WKOW-TV in Madison.

The Society of Environmental Journalists has awarded Elisa Raffa the Climate Matters in the Newsroom fellowship.  She has received an all expenses paid trip to the SEJ's conference in Flint over the first weekend in October.  She'll also be attending a workshop focusing on telling climate change stories that matter with one of the speakers during the workshop being fellow committee member, Paul Gross.

Next call scheduled for October 8th.
