Women in Science Scholarship

Applications were due on 15 March 2024

The Women in Science Scholarship supports women in the atmospheric, oceanic, and climate sciences, and related areas of study. The scholarship was established to acknowledge that gender diversity is essential in the pursuit of better science. An all-woman committee reviews and selects the recipient of this award. The scholarship carries a $10,000 stipend.

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence. The recipient of this scholarship is invited to attend the AMS Annual Meeting with partial support (complimentary registration, hotel, and travel cost included) in their senior year.  In addition, the awardee will be invited to serve one year as a member on the AMS Women's Committee.
