The Severe Local Storms Conference is the premiere conference focused on the research, dissemination, and advancement of knowledge of severe storms and their hazards. We look forward to welcoming our community back together in person again in October of 2022!

Organizers

The 30th Conference on Severe Local Storms is organized by the AMS Committee on Severe Local Storms and hosted by the American Meteorological Society. For additional information please contact the program chairpersons, Michael French (michael.m.french@stonybrook.edu) and Kristin Calhoun (kristin.calhoun@noaa.gov).

Registration

All attendees must register to attend the conference. Registration may be completed on-line, via fax-in form, or on-site. Links will be available in the left-hand panel of this page. Registration rates will be announced and opened in Late- July 2022.

Sponsorship

There are several sponsorship opportunities available at the 30th Conference on Severe Local Storms. All sponsors will receive recognition on the conference website, conference program and signage at event sponsored. Interested companies and organizations should contact Adam Kelly.

Special Needs

It is the Society's sincere desire to comply fully with both the letter and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.  Attendees with special needs at the conference should check with the AMS Meetings Department (617) 226-3916, four–six weeks prior to the meeting to request special arrangements. Special housing needs should be requested when making hotel reservations.
