2017 AMS Elections

The results for the election of the 2018 AMS President-Elect (President in 2019) and Council are now in. The elected leaders of AMS are shown here.* AMS congratulates all of the winners, and we thank all of the candidates who ran for their commitment to AMS and their ongoing service to the weather, water, and climate community.

The AMS Nominating Committee welcomes recommendations from the membership of candidates for President-Elect and Council each year, which will be considered as that slate is prepared. Such recommendations will be most helpful if they are sent to the Nominating Committee by the end of December and are in the form of a 1-page letter describing the proposed candidate’s background and qualifications.
