Use Presenter's Corner to manage your abstract, including:

• Check/Change Abstract Title 
• Check/Change Author Listing 
• Confirm/Change Presentation Method: Virtual/In-Person 
• Upload Presentation File: Slides (if applicable - Oral Presentations Only)
• Upload Optional Supplementary Information (by 12 June): PDF File, Extended Abstract, and/or Supplementary URL 
  • We encourage all presenters to submit supplementary information as your time to present at the meeting is limited. Posting this information online is an excellent opportunity to include more detailed information that may require more time for study than is available at the meeting. All supplementary information is available in the meeting online program within 24 hours of upload – so you can reference it before, during, and after the meeting!
• Withdraw Abstract: Abstracts should be withdrawn if the presenting author is unable to present or identify a replacement presenting author. Please note that withdrawn papers will still be accessible on the conference online program and authors will still be able to upload supplementary materials such as extended abstracts, PDFs of presentations and/or poster images as well as links to other websites.

Dos:

• Make sure everyone can read your slides—the presentation often has to be viewed from 60 or 70 feet from the screen.
  • Use large sans serif font.
  • Make backgrounds simple and dark.
  • Keep copy bright and text short and crisp.
  • Use heavy line thickness for graphics.
  • Keep diagrams simple and use just a few animations.
  • Select only key parts of an equation to illustrate a point.
  • Show information piece by piece—build to the conclusion.
• Plan for one minute for each slide of your talk.
• Remember to speak slowly, loudly and clearly during your presentation.
• Use the microphone at all times.
• Be prepared for the audience to ask a few questions.
• Check all hyperlinks included in your slides.
• Avoid the following color combinations: green/red, green/brown, blue/purple, green/blue, light green/yellow, blue/grey, green/grey, or green/black.

Don’ts:

• Use hand-drawn materials.
• Utilize shades of gray in your presentation.
• Copy and paste pages from your abstract.
• Use bright red, blue, and/or green at the same time.

• Visit the Speaker Ready Room to upload your Presentation File if you have not already done so in Presenter’s Corner and/or view the uploaded file. 
  • Your presentation file should be in PDF or PPT format. 
  • Presentation tips and tricks can be found here. 
• Arrive at the session room before scheduled session time and introduce yourself to the session chair and student volunteer (at the front of the room).
  • Please refer to your acceptance email or the online program for your presentation/session date and time.
  • Typically, each author has 15 minutes for their presentation. Approximately 11 minutes are set aside for the presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions and answers. This leaves one minute for speaker transition. 
• The standard session room set includes the following:
  • One lectern
  • One screen of appropriate size
  • One data/video projector
  • One AMS-supplied PC laptop
  • One digital timer
  • One podium microphone
  • One audience microphone
• Present your Presentation File from the lectern during your scheduled presentation time.
• Field questions asked by attendees and/or participate in discussion if time allows.

• Join the in-person session room via Zoom 20 minutes before the scheduled session start time. The Zoom will be accessed by selecting the "Join Now" button found in the online program or mobile app. 
• Present by:
  • Sharing your slides via screen share during your scheduled presentation time
  • Sharing your pre-recorded presentation via screen share during your scheduled presentation time 
• Field questions asked by attendees in the Zoom chat feature and/or participate in discussion if time allows

• The Standard Poster Display is a 4'H x 6'W (1.2m x 1.8m) (a NEW smaller size) double-sided Velcro covered panel. These panels have a horizontal/landscape orientation. Presenters are not permitted to move the boards or change the orientation.
• Please note presenters are responsible for printing their own posters. 
• You can mount your poster with AMS supplied push pins or Velcro. 
• Only one accepted abstract/topic is allowed on each board. If you are scheduled to present 2 posters within the same session, please contact the Meetings Department ([email protected]) and we can work on changing the placement of the posters as soon as possible.
• Feel free to bring handouts or upload your poster image to Presenter’s Corner to reference during formal poster viewing hours.
• Want to use your laptop to enhance your poster? Send us a table request before the meeting to [email protected]. Please note that we can not provide electricity or internet in the poster halls.
• Want to point people to even more information about your poster? Include a QR Code. Information on QR codes, including reader software and code generators, is available online (http://www.mobile-barcodes.com/).

Attendees are able to access each session’s Zoom directly in the Online Program. Please click the "Join Now" button in the online program under the session title. We recommend all attendees join the virtual meeting five minutes before the scheduled start time by clicking the "Join Now” button. Please note that this meeting will occur in the Central Time (CT) zone, so please plan accordingly. 

All oral sessions will be recorded. Recording will be available at the session level in the online program 72 hours after the session ends.

To Prepare for your Zoom Session: 

• Choose an uncluttered location inside that is quiet, and free from interruptions.
• Ensure you have a strong and secure Wi-Fi connection
• Ensure your Zoom application is up-to-date
• Use an AMS provided virtual background (if desired).
• Before joining the live session, close all unnecessary applications so all processing power can maximize the quality of your Zoom experience. 
• Turn off all sound notifications (on your computer/ cell phone/ tablet, etc.) to avoid any audio or visual disruptions.
• Pay attention to the lighting in the room. Too much light behind you will make you appear like a dark figure. Make sure you have a good source of light in front of you.
• Test your microphone and computer audio before the meeting. If you are using a headset with a built-in microphone, be sure to test this well in advance of the meeting. Be conscious of any external noise close to your microphone, such as your hair or rustling papers.
