In addition to promoting the science described in the Terms of Reference, the AMS Committee on Climate Variability and Change (CCVC) is responsible for organizing the annual Conference on Climate Variability and Change. The CCVC also recognizes contributions to the field through the annual conferment of the Scientific and Technological Activities Commission Award and the Syukuro Manabe Climate Research Award.
The CCVC is continually looking to add diverse and multi-disciplinary members who are interested in promoting climate science and progressing the field.
