AMS Meetings and COVID-19

From its inception, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) has been committed to health and safety. As we look forward to our 2022 Specialty Meetings and 103rd Annual Meeting, we are closely monitoring the ongoing worldwide situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic and its effect on our  meetings and events. Please know our highest priority remains the health and safety of attendees, staff, and communities in which our meetings will take place.

We continue to stay abreast of  news and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health agencies regarding travel and events.

The AMS will continue to implement appropriate health and safety guidelines at our meetings and events as recommended by federal, state, and local government agencies and officials. Attendees will be required to adhere to event requirements and restrictions established by AMS and hotel venues, and to agree to the AMS Health and Safety Policy and Waivers. Requirements and restrictions are subject to change as the CDC and WHO guidelines change and will be outlined in each individual meeting and event’s Commitment to Care Statements. Please see each meeting’s webpage for additional guidance.

We encourage you to check back often as each meeting approaches. Any updates and news regarding the impact of COVID-19 on AMS meetings and events will be posted on this page as well as on the individual page of an affected meeting. We thank you for your support of AMS Meetings.
