AMS Publications has implemented a new continuous publication (CP) workflow for the technical journals!
AMS is proud to be a full publisher member of CHORUS, a nonprofit organization that has organized a suite of services and best practices that provides a sustainable solution for agencies and publishers to deliver public access to published articles reporting on funded research in the United States.
Abstracts, full articles published over two years ago, and articles chosen by their authors to be Open Choice are also available to all. Access to full article EORs and published articles from the most recent two years is restricted to subscribers.
AMS Books grew out of a monograph publishing program related to the peer-reviewed journals published by the AMS and now encompasses a series of meteorological and historical monographs that reaches back five decades as well as a growing list of academic, policy, and general-interest books related to the atmospheric sciences.
Forty-one years ago, the AMS published the Glossary of Meteorology. Containing 7900 terms, more than 10,000 copies have been sold over four decades through five printings. This is the electronic version of the second edition of the Glossary with more than 12,000 terms. Along with the print version it should be the authoritative source for definitions of meteorological terms for many years to come.
