A limited number of graduate students will be awarded full financial support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), based on a national competition. Faculty from HBCUs and MSIs may also apply for NSF funding. Those interested in applying for NSF funding must submit an application by March 31, 2016.
Students and faculty members competing for support must submit (1) a letter of intent, (2) a curriculum vitae, (3) two letters of reference, and (4) contact information. To be eligible, students must be currently enrolled in a U.S. institution or university and members of the American Meteorological Society. Student membership is sufficient for this requirement. Applicants for NSF funding may also be in the process of applying for AMS membership at the time they submit their Colloquium applications.
All student and faculty application materials are due March 31, 2016. If you are applying for NSF funding, you do not need to complete the online registration.
Applications must be submitted in PDF format to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email subject should be Last name_First name_SPC 2016 Application. Documents should be titled Last name_First name_Document title (i.e, Personal Information, Letter of Intent, or Curriculum Vitae).
