Climate Policy Colloquium

Due to the shutdown of the U.S. Federal Government, the 2025 Climate Policy Colloquium will be combined with the 2026 Science Policy Colloquium (to be held May 31 - June 5, 2026). We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Attendees of the Climate Policy Colloquium will gain insight into the United States policy-making process and the climate policy landscape, explore emerging challenges and opportunities in climate science and policy, and examine the inner workings of government agencies working at the interface of science and policy.

The 2025 Climate Policy Colloquium will cover:

  • The basics:
    • The science-policy process
    • Federal R&D budgets
    • Congress (House and Senate)
    • White House (OMB and OSTP)
    • Federal agency players
  • Policy implications of the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, and other climate-related legislation
  • International science diplomacy
  • …and more!
