NOAA’s Earth Prediction Innovation Center will conduct an Artificial Intelligence (AI) numerical modeling short course of hands on community notebooks allowing them to run various AI models being prototyped at NOAA. All notebooks used in this short course will be made available to users after the short course is complete: GitHub - NOAA-GSL/ai-notebooks. The short course will consist of hands-on learning to include AI modeling background, running AI models, visualizing AI models and AI verification frameworks of your innovation against existing model scores. The newest project at NOAA (Project EAGLE) is a long-term project to provide NOAA and the Weather Enterprise with the ability to rapidly test, develop, and demonstrate in near-real time Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for global and regional ensemble forecasting, this workshop will allow users to start looking at the newest advances in AI modeling at NOAA.
