AMS Resources and Response to the Federal Science Crisis
Dr. Rebecca Rose earned her PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to climate resilience, analyzing physical exposure to hazards, health impacts, social dynamics of vulnerability, and the different kinds of action that contribute to resilience. She is completing a research fellowship with the Wisconsin Policy Forum where she is reporting on local severe weather preparedness in the state. Community engaged scholarship in both research and teaching are both central to her work; Rebecca has designed and taught capstone courses in which undergraduates work with emergency management, public health, and community groups to help understand and build climate resilience in Wisconsin.
