SPONSORSHIP/ORGANIZERS
The 13th Conference on Mesoscale Processes is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Mesoscale Processes. The conference will be held 17–20 August 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

IMPORTANT DATES
Abstract Deadline: 17 April 2009
Acceptance E-mails Sent Out & Registration Opens: Mid-June 2009
Hotel Reservation Deadline: 22 July 2009
Manuscript Deadline: 10 August 2009

ACCOMMODATIONS
All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at The Sheraton City Centre Hotel, 150 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of: $109.00 single/double for non-government employees. The current government rate of $102.00 is available for government employees with proper ID. Room rates are quoted exclusive of local taxes. These special rates will also be honored three days before and after based on availability. There will be complimentary Internet in guestrooms.

To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room under the American Meteorological Society room block.

Reservations must be made prior to Friday 10, July 2009 and be accompanied by a onenight deposit. An individual’s deposit is refundable if the Hotel receives notice of an individual’s cancellation at least 7 days prior to scheduled arrival. Reservations made after the 10 July date are on a space available basis, subject to room availability. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited. On-site Registration
The AMS registration desk at the Shertaton City Centre Gotel will be open for registration beginning Sunday, 16 August from 5:00-7:00 P.M. and continue during meeting hours for the remainder of the week.

GETTING THERE
Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel offers a resort experience in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Complimentary shuttle service is available to the surrounding area as well as Salt Lake City International Airport.

Car Rental. Enterprise is the official rental car agency for this meeting and special rates are available. Advance reservations may be made on-line at Enterprise.com. Select “Corporate Account” then “Make a reservation”. Then you simply enter this account # 10AT034 and the first three letters of the account name (AME) or by calling Enterprise at 1-800-593-0505. When making a reservation, please mention the AMS Corporate account number.


Driving Directions

From Ogden (North)
Take Interstate 15 and exit onto 400 South. Proceed east to West Temple and turn right.
Continue to 500 South and turn right. The hotel is located on the right.
From Salt Lake City International Airport (West)
Take I-80 East to I-15 South. Exit onto 600 South. Proceed to West Temple and turn left. Continue north on West Temple to 500 South, and turn left. The hotel is located on the right.
From Park City (East)
Take Interstate 80 West to Interstate 15 North. Exit onto 600 South. Proceed to West Temple and turn left. Continue north on West Temple to 500 South, and turn left. The hotel is located on the right.
From Provo (South)
Take I-15 and exit onto 600 South. Proceed to West Temple and turn left. Continue north on West Temple to 500 South and turn left. The hotel is located on the right.

GUEST PARKING: Parking is available to hotel guests at a cost of $10.00 per day for day parking before 5:00 p.m., $12.00 for overnight and evening parking after 5:00 p.m., and $12.00 per day for valet parking. Guests should enter the hotel from 500 South (front of the hotel) and will be directed to hotel parking located in the West and rear lots of the property. The West Temple parking lot and structure (located on the East side of the hotel) is a park and pay lot and is not under management of the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel. Guests parking in this lot are subject to all fees and fines put forth by the managing company, Central Parking.
