"Winter Weather Meeting" - Call For Presentations

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS - DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 30th @ 5pm PT

Oregon AMS "Winter Weather Meeting" - Saturday, October 29th 2011 - 10am to 3pm - Portland, Oregon

Good morning Oregon AMS members / weather colleagues:

La Nina is planning to pay the Pacific Northwest a visit again this winter and so is the 19th annual Oregon AMS "what will the winter be like" weather forecast meeting / conference. Please mark your calendars with the above date and plan to arrive early as seating capacity is limited. This e-mail is being sent as a formal "call for presentations." If you want to present at this meeting, please reply accordingly." This request is open to all members of the Oregon AMS as well as those from the general public who have a presentation to share with those who attend the meeting. This request also includes those who are interested in presenting a formal "winter weather forecast." The deadline for responding to this request is Friday, September 30th at 5pm PT. Please see attached request form. Please fill out the form completely and return it via e-mail if you would like to be considered for one of the open presentation slots. There are eight speaking slots total this year. The Oregon AMS Executive Council will meet on Saturday, October 1st to review all submissions. Notifications will be sent via e-mail to all applicants no later than Tuesday, October 4th as to the status of their request. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reply.
