5th Annual Snowflake Contest Tracking

Now a tradition with the Winter Weather Forecast Conference, the 5th Annual Snowflake Contest is fully underway with the current possibility of snow in the forecast. Many attendees of the conference on October 29th submitted their predictions for the first snowflake of the winter in Portland. The contest is specific to the Portland International Airport (PDX) Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS) station and the ASOS report must say “-SN, SN, +SN” for snow. Each contestant submitted the date and time for their prediction. The first, second and third closest guest to the actual ASOS report will with OMSI tickets.
