Ankur Desai is Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His lab studies interactions of ecosystems with climate using long term in situ field experiments and numerical modeling. He became incoming AMS STAC Commissioner in 2019. Previously, Desai has served as chair of the American Meteorological Society STAC on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology and currently, he is editor of Journal of Geophysical Research-Biogeosciences.
