The Second Conference on Atmospheric Biogeosciences, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society, will be held May 12-15, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center, Portland, Oregon. The conference theme is “Human Impacts on the Earth-Atmosphere System - Past, Present, and Future”. Abstracts related to Atmosphere-Biosphere Interactions are welcome for submission by January 10, 2014.
AMS Board on Atmospheric Biogeosciences Meeting, June 2016
The AMS Board on Atmospheric Biogeosciences convened on June 21, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah during the 3rd Conference on Biogeosciences, which was held jointly with the 32nd Conference on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology. The Board discussed new strategies for promoting future conferences for Biogeosciences; joint conferences with Agricultural and Forest Meteorology; and identified other potential partners. The Board also initiated discussions related to themes for the 4th Biogeosciences conference. Other action items included identifying potential new Board members for 2017 and evaluating outstanding student conference presentation awards for the 3rd Conference on Biogeosciences. Finally, the Board discussed the procedures regarding the nomination and evaluation for the AMS Outstanding Achievement Award in Biometeorology.
