To promote pre-college education in science and mathematics, specifically through atmospheric, oceanic, and hydrological sciences; to promote the development of pedagogical and reference resources for educators; and to provide support to the AMS Education Program, including the Certified AMS Teacher (CAT) program. To review annually the Society’s programs in support of K-12 education and report to Council both the current status and recommendations for the future of these programs.
