12-13 October 2022
Boulder, CO
Updated: 9 September 2022

As the plans for the 23rd Biennial Joint AMS/AGU Joint Heads and Chairs Meeting progress, we continue to monitor and keep track of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. We are prioritizing the safety of presenters, attendees, program chairs, staff, and any volunteers who plan to attend in-person.

We are closely monitoring news and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health agencies regarding travel and events.

We recommend that you check back here on any recommendations and guidance for our in-person event.

Health and Safety Policy

All attendees (presenters, program chairs, session chairs, volunteers, attendees, guests, press, staff) will be required to agree to the AMS Meeting Health and Safety Policy and Waiver and the UCAR COVID-19 GUIDANCE for Onsite Visitors & Guests , before completing their registration. Any attendee who is not able to adhere to the in-person guidelines set forth in that Policy and Waiver, or in this Commitment to Care Statement, should plan to participate in the robust virtual options we are offering during this fully hybrid meeting.

Vaccination

It is our expectation that all in-person attendees at this meeting are up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations as defined by the CDC.

Masking

Masks will be required at this meeting.

Speakers

Speakers can remove their mask if they are able to keep a 6 foot distance from others.

Food and Beverage

During food functions or whenever you are eating or drinking, we ask that you remain stationary and put your mask back on when you are finished.

Symptoms and Health Survey

In-person attendees who feel ill or experience any symptoms of COVID-19 before or during the meeting should not enter the Meeting until the symptoms have resolved.

Testing

While we do not require that participants submit a negative COVID-19 test result in order to attend this meeting, all travelers should follow recommendations set for by the CDC for domestic and international travel as well as check requirements set forth by their travel providers (planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation).
