2021 Washington Forum Decision to go Virtual

Hello everyone,

After careful consideration and deliberation, we have elected to move the 2021 AMS Washington Forum to a live virtual format 26–29 April 2021. This event will provide a platform to examine public policy issues across the weather, water, and climate enterprise and will have a mix of  leadership keynotes and relevant session topics including but not limited to:

  • The Future of Weather Forecasters and Technology

  • Climate Adaptation and Resiliency: Are we prepared?

  • Unlocking the Spectrum Puzzle: Balancing weather information needs with increasing global demand for spectrum

  • Future of Weather and Climate Financial Risk Management

We are in the process of  modifying the program to adapt to our virtual format. More details to follow in the coming weeks on session topics and logistics. With this pivot, it offers a unique opportunity to expand and maximize participation across the enterprise, and key stakeholders in the private and public sectors.

For further information, please see the AMS Meetings and COVID-19 Advisory on this topic:

2020 AMS Washington Forum registration will be officially open in late July. Please note, if you registered for the in person forum, AMS staff will be contacting you directly  to provide the option to either get a full refund or apply part of your paid fee toward the virtual Forum.

We look forward to your participation in October! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Jen and Heidi.

Sincerely,

Heidi and Jen
