Kate Sullivan is an intern with the policy program of the American Meteorological Society. Her primary research interest involves understanding the intersection of socioeconomic status and climate change risks and hazards in the United States Great Lakes Region. In particular, she hopes to understand this region's dynamics and how they contribute to inequalities.
Katie is currently an undergraduate at the University of Michigan earning degrees in Environment and Biology, Health, & Society with a minor in Creative Writing. She works in two research labs which study disease and aquatic ecology as well as the development and evolution in monarch butterflies due to effects of climate change.
