Nancy Grady is a Technical Fellow with Science Applications International Corporation in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She has 35 years of experience specializing in analytics, emphasizing data and text mining, and computer modeling and simulation. Dr. Grady currently leads an R&D project for the creation of a big data solution framework for integrating across data silos. She has worked on the integration of cloud, collaboration, and mobile technologies in the construction of analytic solutions. Her experience includes text, spatio-temporal, and case-based data and analytics, with application in biosurveillance, patent search and financial domains. Dr. Grady is a former Wigner Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she did modeling of complex materials. She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and its special interest group in knowledge discovery in data. Dr. Grady has applied modeling and data analytics skills in universities, a national laboratory, two small startups, and a large contractor. She loves photography, reading, and all the latest techno-gadgets.
