Mission Statement and Meeting Theme

The mission of the AMS Washington Forum and Summer Community Meeting is to foster a high-level dialogue between the public, private and academic sectors of the weather, water, and climate enterprise. The 2026 theme "Capturing our Enterprise" reflects the rapid changes across our field. This year’s meeting aims to provide a platform where leaders from the public, private, and academic sectors can exchange information on policy, legislative insight, and innovations to advance the nation’s weather, water, and climate enterprise capabilities. 

Who should attend?

1. Government/Public Sector Officials: To learn more on agency directions and gain legislative insight.
2. Private Industry: To understand the near-term federal policy landscape and engage in discussions on emerging enterprise issues.
