Nomination Process

Thank you for your interest in submitting a nomination! AMS membership is not required to submit an award nomination. Nominations are due by 1 May. The nominator is responsible for uploading the entire nomination package.

The nominees for this award remain on the active nomination list for four years. You will be allowed to update an unsuccessful nomination at the beginning of the next award cycle.

Description

The Remote Sensing Prize is granted biennially to individuals in recognition of advances in the science and technology of remote sensing, and its application to knowledge of the earth, oceans, and atmosphere, and/or to the benefit of society. The award is in the form of a medallion and a check.

Nominations are considered by the Atmospheric Research Awards Committee, which makes recommendations for final approval by AMS Council.
