Welcome to the webpage for the Satellite Meteorology and Oceanography Committee of the American Meteorological Society.

The American Meteorological Society and the AMS Committee on Satellite Meteorology and Oceanography just completed the 15th Conference on Satellite Meteorology and Oceanography held in joint with the 2007 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 24-28 September 2007. The conference was a spectacular success and had over 600 participants from around the world. The next AMS Satellite Meteorology and Oceanography conference will be held with the 2009 AMS annual meeting in Phoenix, AZ, so stay tuned for details.

Although this web site is still under development, we have managed to post interesting information about the Committee and its work. In particular, we have posted materials from short courses offered during the 1999 and 2003 Conferences.
