Manuscript Templates for AMS Journal Authors

To assist authors in efficiently generating properly formatted manuscripts for AMS journals, we now offer templates for LaTeX and Word users for downloading.

Since these are the first versions of these templates to be made available, we are soliciting comments and suggestions from users for future enhancements. LaTeX users should email latex@ametsoc.org and Word users should email word@ametsoc.org. The first comment period will close on 28 February 2007.

LaTeX users:
This template includes all the supporting files you will need. Using this template will allow the manuscript upload system to render a pdf file directly from the LaTeX files. To ensure successful pdf rendering, the style file included in the template must be used unaltered. Altering the style file or using your own may cause failure or inaccurate rendering. This will delay transmission of your manuscript to the editorial office.

Word users: Note that the MathType equation editor is recommended for display equations and variables in running text that cannot be properly set from the keyboard.
