Extended Manuscripts
Manuscripts for the 13th Symposium on Meteorological Observations and Instrumentation and the 15th Conference on Applied Climatology will be available via the AMS website. No hard copies will be produced for this meeting. We encourage all presenters to submit a manuscript since time for presentations is limited. This electronic version of the manuscripts will provide an excellent opportunity to include more detailed information, color figures, figures, and graphs that may require more time for study than is available at the meeting. Authors submitting their manuscripts via the web will be able to choose to have their presentations recorded at the conference. The recordings will be available on the AMS Web site after the conference. This feature is only available for authors who submit a manuscript.

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically on-line as a PDF file which should be no more than
3MB in size. The deadline for uploading your manuscript pdf file on-line is 20 May 2005. It is very important that you
adhere to our deadlines. If you cannot submit your manuscript pdf by this date, please contact the Meetings
Department immediately via e-mail: amsmtgs@ametsoc.org or by telephone (617) 227-2426, ext. 228.

If you have any changes to make to your short abstract, title, or author information, please make the edits when
submitting your manuscript. If changes are not made, the correct information will not be reflected in the program online
or distributed on-site.

Hotel Information and Reservations
All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto, 15 East
Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401. A block of rooms have been reserved at the hotel for
meeting attendees at a special rate of $129 plus tax. The government per diem rate, $103.00
plus tax is also available to those who qualify. To receive the special meeting rate, attendees
must request a room under the AMS block.

Reservations must be made prior to 19 May and must be accompanied by a one-night deposit.
Reservations made after that date will be on a space available basis. Subject to room availability,
these special rates will be available the weekends before and after the conferences. We urge you
to make reservations early since space is limited. For reservations, call the Hilton DeSoto at 1-
800-426-8483. Reservations can also be made online at www.desotohilton.com.

Cost
A group discount of $129.00 per room, per night, plus 12% tax, single or double occupancy.
