Submitting a Manuscript/Extended Abstract
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically on-line as a PDF file. The deadline for uploading your manuscript pdf file on line is 19 August 2005. It is very important that you adhere to our deadlines. If you cannot submit your manuscript pdf by this date, please contact the Meetings Department immediately via e-mail: amsmtgs@ametsoc.org or by telephone (617) 227-2426, ext. 228. The success of the Preprint-CD is dependent upon your cooperation in preparing and uploading your manuscript pdf file in a timely fashion.

Tickets to the Paul Smith Tribute Dinner:
If you plan to attend the Paul Smith Tribute Dinner (to be held Monday, Oct. 24th at 7:00pm at the host hotel), we urge you to pre-register for the meeting and purchase your tickets ahead of time as there will be a limited number of tickets available on-site.

Accommodations

A new block of sleeping rooms has been set up at the MCM Elegante Hotel (formerly a Holiday Inn) in Albuquerque. Rates are $68/single or $88/double occupancy and this rate includes a full hot breakfast and happy hour drinks at the hotel. A shuttle to the Old Town/ meeting location will also be provided by the hotel. Reservations must be made by Oct. 1st.

The host hotel, Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, and the Best Western across the street have reached capacity.

 All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town (formerly a Sheraton Hotel), 800 Rio Grande Blvd., NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104. A block of rooms have been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of $68 single/double plus tax (the current government per diem rate). To receive the special meeting rate, attendees must request a room under the AMS block. This hotel fully booked.

Reservations must be made prior to 22 September and must be accompanied by a one-night deposit. Reservations made after that date will be on a space available basis. These special rates will be available the weekends before and after the conferences. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited. For reservations, call the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town directly at (505) 843-6300 or at 1-866-505-STAY (7829). A block of rooms has also been set aside just down the street (1 minute walk) at the Best Western Rio Grande Inn, 1015 Rio Grande Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87104. A special rate of $68 single / $78 double has been arranged for reservations made by 22 September. Reservations may be made at (505) 843-9500. This hotel fully booked.
