In response to a Publications Commission directive to more quickly disseminate the research that has passed the peer review of the AMS journals, the following feature has been added to the AMS Web site.

Information on the papers that have been accepted and received at AMS Headquarters is provided, including the title of the paper, the lead author, the journal in which the paper will appear, and the month the paper was received at AMS Headquarters.

In addition, the e-mail address (where available) for the corresponding author is provided so that those interested in a paper may contact the author directly. The options for authors to submit an abstract of the paper and to hyperlink to a remote server hosting a preliminary version of the complete text of the article will soon be added.

A number of other features are planned that would allow authors access to even more information regarding the status of their publications.

There are, however, a few caveats regarding the information provided here.

It is important to realize that providing this service without substantially impacting the primary editing function of AMS staff precludes careful proofreading, and may therefore result in typos and occasionally significant errors. The AMS staff will endeavor to keep such errors to an absolute minimum, but such is the cost of automating the process of posting this information on the Web in such a timely manner. It is this automation, in fact, that makes this service possible.

The titles and authors displayed on this page are all subject to change as the papers complete the editorial process. The final and official version of the paper is the one included in the printed and/or electronic versions of the journals.

Please note that the papers listed are at varying stages in the publication process; in general, papers are published by date received, with the oldest papers being published first.
