On this map, surface pressures are coded to conserve space on the map. One needs to add a leading 9 or 10 and a decimal point to decode the pressure. See example above.

Map features include:

• Plotted station model data, valid as of map time shown in upper left margin.
• Isobar lines, analyzed at intervals of 4 millibars (mb) from a base value of 1000 mb.
• Radar echoes, color coded using scheme shown along the left margin.
• Frontal locations shown by standard symbol conventions, with valid time in upper right margin.
• Weather system centers, with central pressure values as integers.
