Reno-Lake Tahoe
AMS Student Chapter

The Reno-Lake Tahoe AMS Student Chapter was founded in 2006 to bring together students and faculty of the University of Nevada-Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College with an interest in atmospheric science. Members will have the opportunity to meet new people with a similar interest, expand their knowledge of meteorology and related disciplines, and participate in a number of fun and entertaining activities, such as tours of local offices and institutions (National Weather Service, local TV and radio stations, research institutions, etc.), photo contests, and the opportunity to make an impact in the local educational community (for example, judging science fairs or preparing museum exhibits). Anyone interested in the fields of weather and climate is encouraged to join our student chapter.
