Oregon AMS Members and Friends:

It's that time of year again.  We all look forward to the changing of the seasons as we move from summer into fall.  It's incredible that we can see the change of seasons so easily here in the Northwest.  The Oregon AMS has had a busy off season as we've now made the transition to the largest Executive Council this chapter has ever had.  Our first meeting is now just over a week away and then we look toward the annual winter weather meeting.  Our first three meetings all happen to fall on a Saturday.  It's something that we are looking at for a trial run.  We know that everyone can't always make a meeting, no matter when they are scheduled, so we are just doing a little experiment.  Not every meeting will be on the weekend, as I know most of us cherish that time off.  All the details for our next few meetings are posted on the website.  The new EC is excited to bring us all some exciting meeting topics this year.  We have some great ideas that came out of our first EC meeting a few weeks ago.  With so many members of the council, I was pleasantly surprised to see such spirited debate taking place. Everything is shaping up to be a great year for us.  I'm really excited to see how things will turn out.  As always, I welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions.  Thank you for being a member of one of the most active chapters in the AMS.
