Kevin McKee is a fifth year undergraduate student, pursuing a double major in meteorology
and applied mathematics. He spent two years at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a major
of mathematics before transferring to Florida State University in fall of 2005. He is a member
of the Chi Epsilon Pi honor society and has been active with the FSU Weather Show for a year and
a half. Kevin is a researcher at the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS),
where current projects include determining any correlation between monthly precipitation values
in the northeastern United States and monthly heat fluxes over the northwestern Atlantic Ocean.
He is also a weather observer at the Tallahassee Regional Airport. Upon completing his
undergraduate work, he plans to attend graduate school and start on his master's degree in
meteorology.
Kevin has been a member of the North Florida American Meteorological Society since 2006.
During the 2006-2007 chapter year, he served on the Membership and Fundraising committee.
