Liane is an undergraduate student at The Florida State University and will attain her B.S. of Meteorology degree in the spring of 2008. She hopes to attend graduate school at Florida State University as well to focus on tropical meteorology and would ideally love to fly for the NOAA hurricane hunters. She first became interested in the weather after Hurricane Andrew totaled her house in 1992.

Liane has attended the 2006 and 2007 Annual AMS Meetings as a student volunteer, and has found both to be very rewarding experiences. She has been a member of the North Florida AMS since 2005. Last year, she was involved in the programs and membership committees and is looking forward to heading the publicity committee in the upcoming year.

Liane was born and raised in Miami, FL and attended Design and Architecture Senior High School majoring in film. Liane enjoys traveling- especially to Italy, flying, being with friends, and Florida State football!
