Katie is an undergraduate student at The Florida State University and will attain her B.S. of Meteorology degree in the spring of 2007. She will attend graduate school to focus on severe weather phenomena; however, she desires a career in broadcast meteorology.

Having a flare for talking a lot, Katie is one of the student meteorologists on the FSU Weather Show, which airs weeknights.  She believes broadcasting is the best way to inform the public of current weather and severe weather alerts. “I simply desire people to be properly aware of current weather situations and not in the way of danger,” she explains.

Katie was born and raised in wild, wonderful West Virginia, where her mother continues to reside. She attended and graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia cum laude.  Katie enjoys speaking French, SCUBA diving, and most of all, performing in the Florida State Flying High Circus!
