Clark Evans - 2003-2004 President

Clark Evans is a graduate meteorology student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL under the supervision of Dr. Bob Hart and funded through an AMS Graduate Fellowship.

He previously completed research as an undergraduate under Dr. Xiaolei Zou on the application of GPS meteorological occultation data to clouds and inversions in 2003-2004, which resulted in his winning the AMS' Father James B. Macelwane Research Award for 2005, as well as an internship with the Florida Climate Center in summer 2004. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida State (B.S., Meteorology) in spring 2004.

Clark served as the Secretary of the North Florida Chapter of the AMS from 2002-03, as President from 2003-04, and currently serves as the Past President and Science and Education Committee Chair of the chapter. He hails from Asheville, NC by way of Orlando, FL, where his family resides today. His interests include hurricanes, sports, music, and nature.
