    General Information

    The Kansas City Chapter of the American Meteorological Society meets from September through May, approximately once a month. Meetings are dinner meetings at a local restaurant with an occasional less formal dessert meeting. Each meeting features a speaker on some meteorological or related topic.

    How to Become a Member of the Local Chapter

    To join the Kansas City Chapter of the American Meteorological Society contact any of our Chapter Officers, or come to one of our meetings.

    Annual Dues

    The dues year normally begins in September, but new members are welcome at any time of the year. Annual dues are $20.00 for regular members and $5.00 for students. Part of the annual dues process each September is our annual snow predication contest. A prize is given each May to the person who comes nearest to the total snowfall measured in Kansas City during the previous Winter.
