Jim Williams is the Walgreens Company enterprise-wide Manager for Emergency Preparedness and Response in as part of the Asset Protection—Business Continuity Division located at their Security Operations Center in Deerfield, Illinois. In addition to his current role, he was involved with developing and preparing the Underwriters Laboratory listing program for the Security Operations Center. Mr. Williams was well qualified in preparing for the UL audit in that prior to working at Walgreens he managed a group at the Underwriters Laboratory headquarters directly involved with the Alarm Certificate Services Group. Also at UL he was one of the core business members for UL's Business Continuity group. Prior to UL, Mr. Williams worked for both Siemens and Bosch Automation in various management roles. His Emergency Preparedness and Response background comes from various positions he held while on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Air Force Reserves. In addition to being a B-52 and C-130 combat crewmember he also held positions as: Program Manager (AGM-84 Harpoon, AGM-142 Have Nap) Flight Test & Weapons Test Engineer, Aircraft Accident Response and Recovery, Operations Support Squadron Commander, Director Command and Control 440th Airlift Wing, Gen. Mitchell IAP, Milwaukee, WI, and at Air Mobility Command HQ at Scott AFB IL, as a Director in the Tanker Airlift Control Center. He has a BS degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and a Masters Certificate in International Business from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
