Annie Reiser is a Technical Communications Specialist at NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. She has a background in linguistics with an MA degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Colorado (CU) at Boulder and a BA degree in German/Art from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Ms. Reiser has worked at NOAA since 1999 where she now develops and produces products that convey NOAA science to a variety of audiences including NOAA leadership, partners/constituents, educators, and the public. She writes, edits, and reviews materials that appear in publications, reports, periodicals, brochures, and posters, in support of the ESRL Director. Before joining NOAA, Ms. Reiser instructed business and economics English of all levels and translated technical content (German to English) from the private industry sector and for the Regensburg Industrie und Handelskammer; a professional business college. Her job as Resident Director of the CU at Regensburg University Exchange Program brought her to Regensburg Germany where she lived for eight years. As Resident Director, Ms. Reiser liaised on behalf of CU students and the university with Regensburg city authorities, host families, professors, community members, and corporations. She also advised and counseled students, ran the budget, organized educational and recreational student activities, and acted as public relations representative for CU in the recruitment and selection of German students to send to the United States. Before moving to Germany she taught university-level German for more than ten years in the United States.
