John Pino, an AMS Member, is a Business Development Manager with Northrop Grumman Information Systems in Burlington, Massachusetts. He supports business development with the Space and Environmental Solutions Operating Unit of the Intelligence Systems Division. His responsibilities include supporting the Environmental Business Area as well as other NGC business pursuits for Federal Aviation Administration, National Weather Service, and United States Air Force acquisitions. Mr. Pino retired from the USAF in 2004 after serving more than 20 years holding a variety of positions including Detachment and Squadron Commander, HQ Air Weather Systems Chief of Future Requirements, AFW (XOW) Career Field Manager for the Weather Functional Officers, and the Weather Functional Program Element Monitor. His operational experiences include weather support to a variety of the USAF organizations, the United States Army while serving with the 30th Weather Squadron in the Republic of Korea, and United States Special Forces while at 30th Weather Squadron as well as with the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field while serving as Detachment 75, 6 WS Commander, later standing up the 1st Special Operations Support Squadron as its first Commander. Mr. Pino has a BS degree in meteorology from Penn State and an MS degree in meteorology from St Louis University.
