Melissa Oguamanam is a Co-Center Lead for the NASA Applied Sciences DEVELOP Program Office at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center at Greenbelt, MD. Ms.Oguamanam started working as a student intern with DEVELOP in 2009, researching the monitoring of winter cover crops in the Chesapeake Bay using remote sensing technology. Her second project with DEVELOP involved using a hydrological model to predict flooding in a Chesapeake Bay watershed. Currently, she is working on hiring and managing intern teams to intern for DEVELOP at Goddard this summer. She has an undergraduate degree in Geography with a minor in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently finishing her graduate studies in Geography at the University of Maryland, College Park.
