Bruce Budd, an AMS Member, is the Meteorologist in Charge of the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in State College, Pennsylvania. WFO State College serves 33 central Pennsylvania counties from Warren to Lancaster and is the liaison office with the state government. In his current position since 1995, Mr. Budd has over 35 years of NWS experience. From 1992 to 1995 he was a Mesoscale Meteorologist with NWS Eastern Region Headquarters in Bohemia, New York. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, he was the Meteorologist in Charge of the Hartford, Connecticut Weather Service Office. From 1974 to 1989, he was a Forecaster in the Portland, Maine Weather Forecast Office. Mr. Budd has a BS degree in meteorology from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, 1974), and an MS degree in meteorology from the Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, California, 1980).
