Dave Barjenbruch, a former AMS Member, is a Senior Forecaster for NOAA's National Weather Service in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from the University of Nebraska in 1991, Mr. Barjenbruch began his NWS career in the lake effect snow region of South Bend, Indiana. He moved to the Denver/Boulder office in 1995 and quickly shifted interest from lake effect snow to orographic snowfall and Front Range blizzards. Some of his favorite storms include the March, 2003 snowstorm that paralyzed the Front Range with extremely heavy, wet snow, and the pre-Christmas Blizzard of 2006. He serves as both Winter Weather and Graphical Forecast Editor Focal Points. Mr. Barjenbruch 's interests include running, cycling, stock trading, and gardening.
