Drew Anderson an AMS Member, is an on-air meteorologist for WGAL-TV 8 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is also a former WGAL weather intern and a Penn State graduate, with a B.S. degree in meteorology and minors in communication and information science and technology. While at Penn State, Mr. Anderson provided a live forecast on ESPN's College GameDay. Most recently, he worked on-air in Tornado Alley forecasting and reporting. He even had an unforgettable experience in the Midwest as a storm chaser. Closer to home, Mr. Anderson brought evening forecasts to all of Pennsylvania on PCN TV's Weather World. On C-NET TV's Weather or Not, he anchored, reported, and traveled across the state to broadcast forecasts. Mr. Anderson interned at CBS3 in Philadelphia and worked at the Pennsylvania State Climate Office. On the Web, he served as a correspondent for FOX Weather and as a forecaster for the Palestra Network. On the radio, he spent time as a classic rock DJ on WKPS, production assistant at WBUS, and forecaster for WMGK. At Penn State, Mr. Anderson was a mathematics teaching assistant, weather camp counselor, and film channel program director. He received several awards in meteorology including one from AccuWeather. Keeping up-to-date on the latest meteorological and environmental developments, he attends conferences and is a member of the AMS and the National Weather Association.
