
Donna
Strahan is an Education Program Assistant in the Washington D.C. office of the
American Meteorological Society,
where she works on the Weather Studies and Online Ocean Studies college-level
course programs. She earned an
MS
degree in Earth Science, with concentrations in
meteorology, climatology, and hydrology, from
UNCC.
While attending
UNCC,
Ms. Strahan taught environmental science to college and high school students
and, for a hurricane reanalysis research project, she assessed past hurricanes
to determine their correct tracks and intensities. Prior to
UNCC
Ms. Strahan attended Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, where
she majored in Geological and Environmental Sciences. She grew up in
the small rural community of Herndon, Pennsylvania. Her interests include
NASCAR, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Carolina Panthers football. She also enjoys
singing, writing poetry, and spending time with family.
