Jean Fruci has been a member of the Democratic professional staff of the
Committee on Science and Technology
of the U.S. House of Representatives since July 1995.
Dr. Fruci is responsible for the oversight of research programs and operational
activities of the
EPA,
NOAA, and
DoT.
Prior to joining the Committee staff, Dr. Fruci worked as a Legislative Assistant
to Representative George E. Brown (D-CA) from January 1994 through June 1995 in
the areas of agriculture, resource management, energy, and the environment.
Dr. Fruci received her
PhD
degree in soil science from Cornell University in January 1995.
Prior to returning to graduate school at Cornell, Dr. Fruci worked as a research
assistant in the area of ecosystem ecology.
