Caitlin Buzzas is a Policy Associate with American Meteorological Society’s Policy Program. She helps with all aspects of the Policy Program including AMS’s Summer Policy Colloquium, research on expert elicitation on climate change perceptions, and how national climate policy plays out on local and regional levels. She has a special interest in how climate will affect geopolitics and the influence that climate change will have on political structures and societies on an international level.

Caitlin attended school at the University of Montana, Missoula and in college attended Semester at Sea where she traveled to eleven different countries in Asia, Africa and South America. She graduated from the University of Aberystwyth in Wales, UK with a degree in Political Science and International Relations. After college she worked in business development for Adfero, Direct News in London. She then returned to the states where she interned on the Hill for Senator Max Baucus and then worked as the Director of Operations and then Director of Operations for a local non-profit before joining the staff at AMS.
