Congressional Science Fellowship

THE PROGRAM: The AMS Congressional Science Fellowship program will permit you to spend a full year in the U.S. Congress working on these issues. Each fellow is free to choose where he or she will work within the Congress and will spend the year with over 30 fellows from other professional societies. A stipend of $47,000 is provided and up to $10,000 for moving, travel, and other expenses. Click here to see more details on the role of a Congressional Science Fellow. WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in the atmospheric or related sciences, be a member of AMS (or applying), be a U.S. citizen, and be comfortable working with people from a diverse professional backgrounds and under demanding deadlines.
