Guidelines for use of the AMS Name, Seal, and Logos

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is a non-profit, professional society whose objectives are the development and dissemination of knowledge of the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences, and the advancement of its professional applications.

In order to ensure that rights and privileges of all members, as well as the Society as a whole are upheld, the AMS has developed the following guidelines for the proper use of the AMS name, its Seal of Approval, the designation Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) or Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM), and the official seal of the AMS:
