The 30th Conference on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, and jointly held with the First Conference on Atmospheric Biogeosciences; will be held May 27 - June 1, 2012, at the Omni Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts.

ACCOMMODATIONS
All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at the Omni Parker House , 60
School Street, Boston, MA 02108. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for
meeting attendees at a special rate of:
Deluxe Rooms: $219
Traditional Rooms: $201
Government Rate: $201
To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room under the American Meteorological
Society room block by 20 April, 2012 Attendees are responsible for making
their own hotel reservations. Attendees may call toll-free 1-800-THE-OMNI or make your reservations online.
Reservations made after 4/20/12 are on a space available basis. Subject to room availability,
these special rates will be available the weekends before and after the conference.
We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited.
REGISTRATION
There are three ways to register for this conference.
1) Online Registration. This option is available to AMS Members and nonmembers
who are paying by credit card or purchase order.
2) Download the registration form.

REGISTRATION FORMS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BY MAIL OR FAX THROUGH 30
APRIL. AFTER THIS DATE YOU MUST REGISTER ON-LINE OR ON-SITE.
3) On-site registration. The AMS registration desk at Omni Parker House will be open
for registration on Monday 28 May from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and Tuesday-Friday during the
hours of the conference.
We urge you to pre-register. If you do not have Web access, please contact the AMS Meetings
Department 617-226-3968 for a registration form. Completed forms must be faxed
or mailed to AMS. We do not accept registration over the phone.

Registrants may choose the Full-Week Registration Package or the One-Day Registration
Package. The Full-Week package includes admission to all conferences, all conference
materials, all coffee breaks, formal poster viewings and Tuesday Evenings banquet . The
One-Day package includes admission to all conferences and coffee breaks for one calendar
day.

A ticket to the 30th Conference on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology and the First
Conference on Atmospheric Biogeoscience Banquet is included in your registration
package.
Guest tickets ($65) may be purchased on-line with your registration package. on-site
until noon Tuesday 29 May. Any special dietary requests should be indicated when
registering on-line or communicated to Marjorie Huntington via e-mail: mhuntington@
ametsoc.org by Tuesday, May 29.
GETTING THERE
Enterprise is the official rental car agency for this meeting and special rates are available.
Advance reservations may be made on-line at Enterprise.com. Select “Corporate

From Logan International Airport (2.5 miles)
Exit Airport and follow signs for the Ted Williams Tunnel.
Take exit 24 for 93 North.
Follow 93 North to exit 23 Government Center. At the set of traffic lights make a left
around the loop which will put you onto North Street.
At the end of North Street
(1/4th of a mile) make a left onto Congress Street. Take your first right onto State Street
(which becomes Court St. almost immediately) and follow it to the end, making a left at
the fork onto Tremont Street.
Take your first left onto School Street and the Omni Parker
House is immediately on the right.
Taxi from Logan Airport
Fare average is between $20.00 and $28.00 depending on the traffic. It normally takes
15-20 min. to get to the hotel depending on traffic.
Public Transportation from Logan Airport
Take the loop shuttle bus to the T’s Blue line
Take the Blue Line to the State St. Station
Walk South .1 miles on Washington St. towards Water St.
Turn right on School St. Hotel will be on your left.
Arrival and Parking
There is a $42 charge for overnight valet parking. Additional fee for late pick-up after
1pm on day of departure is $12. When you arrive, please stop in front of the School
Street entrance to the Omni Parker House and speak to our Doorman. He will help you
take care of your car and belongings.
